Worldwide, Microsoft SharePoint is clearly the fastest growing portal and collaboration solution. As such, SharePoint is uniquely suited to facilitate a collaborative environment where the objective is not to replicate stored information as much as to allow for a process where multiple people, each with varying access rights and privileges are collaborating on the same set of information. When viewed together SharePoint and Documentum are proving complimentary, where one can serve as the point of collaboration and use access while the other as the central repository for all information.

Verinon's ShareTop framework enables employees both internal and external, partners, clients or suppliers a secure and managed access to the information stored in an EMC Documentum environment via a SharePoint entry using a Microsoft SharePoint (MOSS 2007 / WSS 3.0) based presentation layer that acts in many cases as a complement or an alternative to Documentum WebTop.
